Ph.D. in Productive Adult Development
|
The PhD program extends across three years, and students are expected to graduate within this timeframe.
During doctoral studies, students further develop and deepen their methodological knowledge and scientific understanding and are prepared for leading positions in and outside of academia, nationally and internationally.
Nine perspectives are subsumed under the umbrella theme of "Productive Adult Development":
• Neuroscience
• Human Performance
• Lifespan Psychology
• Health Psychology
• Organizational Behavior
• Management Science
• Lifecourse Sociology
• Political Science
Each doctoral student is expected to participate in educational activities that reach beyond his/her perspective as well as in perspective-specific educational activities. Other achievements (ie. doctoral fellows active in third-party-funded projects) may be recognized within the proposed framework. The PhD curriculum attempts to balance the broadening of horizons with the deepening of knowledge and skills in the area of thesis work.
